I was a junior in high school when this song dropped. It got a ton of airplay. It's one of those songs you forget about. Then you hear it again many years later and go, "wow I loved that song!"

Luckily I met him in 1990 at stable area in Pennsylvania. Great guy. Was still getting high. I'm so glad he got sober in 1994. What a great man ❤

It was 1975, I was 16 years old on a Friday night with my '71 Plymouth 340 Wedge Duster and 5 friends in the car with a case of beer, all of us with an open one. I made a right turn at an intersesction and didn't stop at tjhe sign. Coming in my direction was the city patrol and blue lights went on. I hit the pedal to the metal while my buds were throwing bottles out the window. At one point I turned a near 180 onto a street and decided right there to stop as I nearly lost control. Cops gave me my first traffic ticket for failing to stop and let us on our way. I skipped school to go to court and the day of court I parked in a grocery store parking lot and my 8 track tape player with Joe's SO What was blaring Welcome To The Club. When I got to court the judge looked at the ticket and stated "I can't read the address where this happened. Case Dismissed."
